COMMON MYTHS

Our systems will allow you to remove production residues & soaps

One of the common myths is that Magnesium Silicate is impossible to remove.

Whereas this may be the case if inferior filtration products have been used, this is certainly not the case with our Filtertechnik filtration and polishing systems. Extensive evidence is available to prove that magnesium silicate does NOT migrate past our filtration systems. Our processes confine magnesium silicate into a pressurised location, resulting is reduced clean-up times and top quality fuel which meets and surpasses all industry quality standards.

Do not confuse magnesol with waxing or gelling!
Most biodiesel is prone to Winter waxation and gelling. This is because biodiesel is a relatively pure fuel at this point, as no additive package has yet been introduced to counteract this occurrence. Certain base feed-stocks eg. Palm and Soy have a tendency to “cloud” at higher temperatures. Some have higher concentrations of chemicals like iodine which cause a white “crystallisation” to form, and the common myth is that these crystals are Magnesol. But this is certainly not the case!!

Magnesol, if still present in the final product will always drop to the base of a sample bottle and form a “seabed” layer on the base ( if not effectively removed). Any white floating objects visible in a sample are not Magnesol particulate and further investigation is required, but base feed stocks would be a good starting point. Once again , adequate filtration would resolve these issues.

Our equipment (if used in accordance with simple manufacturers guide-lines) will not only ensure effective removal of magnesium silicate, but also enhance the clean-up process and significantly reduce purification times. The end result is a quality fuel that is comparable with the most advanced purification systems on offer.

TRY BEFORE YOU BUY: Why not evaluate our systems prior to investment? Also, we encourage you to do the same with our competitors! Please call us for trial information.
