Making your own biodiesel is the most tax efficient way of running a diesel engine, a general rule is if that it runs on diesel; it runs on biodiesel.

So the answer to the first question is NO! there is NO ENGINE MODIFICATION REQUIRED TO RUN BIODIESEL! You can run 100% biodiesel or it can be blended with mineral diesel at any percentage.

The second question;
With regard to the price of making your biodiesel; that's up to you really, there are so many ways of acquiring oils, methanol and catalysts that the prices from chemical suppliers will always be more reliable than the prices from equipment suppliers.

We are not suppliers or collectors of cooking oils or chemical suppliers.
We can tell you for certain what materials you'll need, how much you'll need and even what ratio you'll mix it all together.
