Diesel Bug Biocide
Filtertechnik HFAM1000 fuel biocide is the undisputed industry leader for eradicating the microbes (including diesel bug) living in water and feeding off hydrocarbons in your fuel.
If allowed to multiply, these organisms generate a particulate likely to block filters and injectors, making HFAM1000 a vital component in your fuel health strategy.
It also prevents acetic acid build-up that can lead to tank and fuel system corrosion.
Instructions for Application:
For Prevention & Protection
Use a dose rate of 1 litre of HFAM1000 to 20,000 litres of fuel.
For Microbial Contamination Eradication
First assess the level of contamination, then:
- For mild duties use 1 litre of HFAM1000 to 5000 litres of fuel.
- For severe duties use 1 litre of HFAM1000 to 1000 litres of fuel.
- For best results, use with effective filtration
Read the Health & Safety literature and wear PPE as appropriate.
Ideally mix the HFAM1000 with a quantity of fuel before adding to the tank to aid dispersion or add just prior to the addition of fresh fuel.
