Dessicant Air Breathers

Our dessicant breathers are made with environmentally disposable silica gel, which absorbs and traps moisture while filtering the air down to 2 microns at the same time.The silica gel turns from yellow to green as it absorbs moisture so it is easy to see at a glance when the unit requires changing.

The D-AB-2 and D-AB-4 dessicant filter breathers feature a dual filtration process, removing water as well as solid contaminants (2 and 4 micron absolute) respectively. Moisture can decrease a fluid’s stability and reduce its service life, as well as cause oxidation and rust. Use of a desiccant breather keeps air entering a reservoir clean and dry.
