Biofuel Purification

With the rising cost of diesel at the pumps, domestic producers and small industrial refineries have started to produce their own fuel.

Biodiesel is made from vegetable oils and animal fats. It can be used as a fuel for vehicles in its pure form, but it is usually used as a diesel additive to reduce levels of particulates, carbon monoxide, and hydrocarbons from diesel-powered vehicles. It is produced from oils or fats using transesterification.

Biodiesel production can be challenging if you do not have the correct knowledge and equipment.

We are here to help. We have a wealth of experience in filtering and purifying biodiesel and vegetable oils to industry standards and have filter and purification solutions for the most demanding of vegetable or animal based oils cleanup tasks

As an example, it is possible to produce excellent quality biodiesel with our Eco2Pure Wash and Polish Stations.
Industrial producers rely on the larger version of our purification towers which allow for maximum production throughput at the lowest possible cost. Eco2pure ensures all soaps and production residues are removed and assists biofuel producers in the attainment on industry standard EN14214.

Used cooking oil (UCO) has several uses. Whether it is converted to biodiesel, or cleaned up for other applications e.g. power generation, our filtrations systems are designed to deliver high quality oil to ensure your process runs smoothly.

We also have a range of equipment for end of process quality control, our laser particle counters and water monitors are perfect to alert you to contamination issues and ensure remedial action can be taken.
